English to Quenya

Word list

Hello! This site is made for those who want to write in Quenya but don't have the time to search through the Quenya to English Word List found at Ardalambian, a site dedicated to the many languages of J.R.R. Tolkien of which Quenya is one.

Quenya is often called the Ancient Tongue of the Elves, High-Elven, or Elven-Latin.

This is a short compliation of the various Quenya words found in various bookd by J.R.R. Tolkien. I took the Word List provided at Ardalambian and changed it from its Quenya to English format into this English to Quenya format. This has taken me a loooonnngg while and have only finished up through 'G' in the Quenya words. Have patience, I will be adding more as I can.

Newly added:

The Quenya words through 'G'.

A poem writtin in Quenya by J.R.R. Tolkien from the book The Fellowship of the Ring called Namárië.

A chant written by myself in Quenya called A Él. A poor example of Quenya usage, but I'm still proud of it nonetheless.
